The game of Lair also includes it's own world of Kartharka, fully detailed in the issues of LoSS magazine. If you love the game then you'll want to check out the world it's written for.
Also includes extra rules, expansions, adventures, art and articles for the game of Lair. All of the rules in issues 1-5 have been expanded and revised for the Core Rulebook but all of the background and options materials are still useful.

Issue 2: Combat
This is the big one! Character creation rules were first introduced in this issue along with a character sheet. This issue included the combat, movement and special action rules. All of this was used to play the Lair Skirmish game, which was not included in the Core Rulebook. But the skirmish game is still a lot of fun. This issue also contains the full size removable map of Stroh-Branoch as well as detailing all it's locations. A must for any game of LoSS. 38 pages, black and white interior. Issue 3: Veteran
The Lair game really hit it's stride with this issue. Which the Veteran system you can now advance your characters. With this came the rules for non combat skills, including Crafting and Sorcery. The fame and favour system is also in this issue as well as the rules pertaining to the heroes home, or demesne. Also included are some rules for steel weapons (iron is rare in the winterlands). Rounding out the book are the rules for followers, a bestiary of enemies and some more background for the world of Kartharka. 36 pages, black and white interior. Available in print or as a pdf. |

Issue 4: Sorcery!
This was a huge issue. The name of the magazine officially changes to LoSS to differentiate the magazine from the game itself. This issue is also in full colour. Fully detailing the ancient history of the world of Kartharka and the origins of Sorcery and the Sorcery wars. This issue saw the full expansion of the Sorcery system introduced in the Veteran issue, along with the rules for Creating Magic items. 18 pages, color interior. Available in print or as a pdf. |

Issue 5: Lairs!
The famous sideways issue! This issue rounded out the last of the rules for the game of Lair. This issue contains all the rules, guidelines and templates for creating your own adventures and campaigns for Lair. Using the innovative Lair templates you can set up a whole dungeon in couple of hours, or a whole campaign in an evening. This issue also includes the Temple of the Blind Burrower campaign, to illustrate the lair system. The issue finishes with a Screen for game masters. 34 pages, black and white interior.
