Another Year and another Skull in the bucket (no pic this year, sorry it's been wild)
You haven't been hearing alot from me lately, but worry not! Work still continues on all the things you love.
New Issue of the Magazine!
The LoSS magazine sees yet more changes! The name is Switching back to Lair of Sword & Sorcery. Now that there is a new rule book (Lair of Sword & Sorcery Core Rules) there is less of a chance that people will confuse the magazine with the rules.
This issue is a big one! The Labyrinth Lord Conversion issue. All of the rules needed to adventure in the world of Kartharka, but using your favorite Old School Role playing rule sets.
There are the necessary charts, like converting Endurance to Hit Points, Defense to Armour Class and Vice versa.
But that's not all! Also included are OSR versions of the Lair templates. Now you can throw together great dungeons for your OSR game just as easily as you would for your Lair game.
Also included in this issue are some great rules for playing a Sword & Sorcery version of Labyrinth Lord, with guidelines on healing, resting, magic items, character classes and so much more.
It's available right now at Drive Thru RPG and it's pay what you want! So if you've always wanted to bring the world of Kartharka to your table but didn't want to switch rule sets, now is the time.
Future Lair Releases
I was going to compile the background info for the world of Kartharka from issues 1-5 into a single book like the Core rules.
I got quite a ways into it before deciding that neither I the writer, nor you, the reader, wanted me to go over all this old material again with a new glossy face.
Instead, I've made all the previous issues of the magazine pay what you want and everyone is free to head over and get all the old material.
I'd rather move forward and release more issues of the magazine with new material.
So it time to dust off the Brytax adventures, and start working on fleshing out the other parts of the world of Kartharka like the Hunzar jungles and the cities of the Empire in the Summerlands.
Miniatures are piling up!
Over here in the Spooky Workshop I've been sculpting up a storm!
Miniatures are getting molded and undead army is getting a much needed batch of reinforcments.
Still working out some kinks and adding more equipment to the molding section of the shop before I could call these babies "production ready".
I need to build or buy a vacuum chamber to get the last few pesky bubbles out of the molds and need to upgrade the injection molder again to speed up production.
At the moment it takes far too long to actually mold the miniatures as I have to wait for plastic to melt and to clamp the molds and open and close them.
With the addition of a couple of premelt chambers and some upgraded mold frames and speed clamps I should be able to get my mold times down to some reasonable numbers for resale.
The problem is that it takes me most of an afternoon to mold up 30 or 40 miniatures. That's great for molding my own minis for my armies but not so great if I need to resell them.
I have a big post coming up soon with previews of my new zombie horde so keep your eyes peeled for more great Warplastic news!
